NICOLET SAMPLE HOLDING The Nicolet sample mounting system is unique and is based on a stage drilled with three 1/8" diameter vertical holes. Several Ventacon cells can be accommodated directly into this system eg. the Model SR-1 Sample Rotator and the Model C-1 Cryogenic Cell. For customers who wish to purchase other cells from the Ventacon range, we recommend use of Adaptor A-11. This device fits directly into the Nicolet three-hole stage but accepts the industry standard 3" x 2" ‘infrared cards’. Once installed, infrared accessories will then fit your Raman instrument and also enable you to accommodate the Series H hot cells and the Series S special sample cells. Where sample heating is a problem, the use of KBr pellets or nujol mulls pressed between potassium chloride/bromide windows is recommended.
